Brian Reid is Research Director at Bell Labs Silicon Valley.
Previously he was director of the Network Systems Laboratory at Digital
Equipment Corporation (later Compaq Computer), and before that he was
Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. He
has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie-Mellon University. He is
currently working on last-mile networking.
