Thanks to the generous contribution of Nokia
Nederland B.V. in Leidschendam, The Netherlands, there will be a wireless
network available in and around the MECC convention
center.
The cards that are available are:
- 30 2Mbit C020
PCcards.
Supported in Linux through the PCMCIA package and W95/98/NT/2000.
- 10 11Mbit C110
PCcards.
W95/98/NT/2000 support only.
All wireless equipment is fully IEEE 802.11 compliant. If you have your own C020
or C110 Nokia Wireless LAN card or a card from any other vendor that works with
the Nokia Wireless LAN Access-points, feel free to bring it along, however, be
aware that we're not in the position to debug installation problems. A DHCP server
will be available to allow easy access. Make sure you have your laptop DHCP enabled
to access. See the Terminal
Room info.
You can check out a Nokia PCMCIA card at the Internet Access Room.
You will be
required to sign a document agreeing to either return or purchase the card. We will also need your credit card details.
This document will included in your conference package.
This document and your credit card details will be returned to you when the card is returned to us.
