Other hotels located in Maastricht may be requested via MECC Hotel Service. (You may use the Accommodation Reservation Form).

Please make sure you arrange your accommodation in time, since Maastricht has limited hotel accommodation.

MECC Hotel Service has been assigned as official Housing Bureau for SANE 2002. Your hotel request can be processed through the MECC Hotel Service via the printable accommodation form.

General hotel information

• Cancellations/changes will only be accepted by MECC Hotel Service in writing.
• The cancellation policy is in conformity with the Uniform Hotel Conditions (UVH) and applicable on all reservations.
• Cancelled rooms, for which no cancellation costs are invoiced by the hotel(s), will be charged with EUR 35.00 administration costs.
• If you do not check-in on the above mentioned arrival date, without written notification, your room will automatically be cancelled for the rest of the period. The room will become subject to cancellation charges.
• When checking out before the confirmed departure date, the hotel is entitled to charge an early departure fee.

Hotel deposits

Each hotel requires a deposit of EUR 150 to reserve and confirm your accommodation request. After receipt of your payment/credit card guarantee, the required accommodation will be booked and a voucher will be sent to you. Any deposit will be deducted from your hotel bill by trading in the voucher at the hotel reception desk.

Method of Payment

Payment may only be made in EURO's, free of bank charges. In the event of bank charges, EUR 9.08 will be deducted from your hotel deposit.

  2. An authorized signature on the accommodation form is required in order to process any charges to your credit card.
  3. Please include the name of the participant, address and reference code SANE 2002.

• Swift transfer
  1. Payment to bank account 57.55.85.692 of the ABN/AMRO bank (Maastricht), the Netherlands, IBAN: NL79 ABNA 0575 5856 92, SWIFT-address: ABNANL2A, in the name of MECC Hotel Service.
  2. Please include your name, address and reference code SANE 2002.

Changes or cancellation

The MECC Hotel Service requires all changes and/or cancellation requests in writing. The date of receipt of your written confirmation at MECC Hotel Service will be considered as the date of cancellation.

Refunds will be dealt with after the conference.

Booking conditions

MECC Hotel Service acts as an agent for and makes arrangements with hotels providing sleeping room accommodations and hotel service, in order to provide you with accommodations during SANE 2002. Although great care is taken when working with the individual hotels, MECC Hotel Service is unable to directly control the suppliers and therefore, cannot be held responsible for their acts or omissions. MECC Hotel Service cannot assume responsibility for any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising out of injury, loss, damages of property, delay or inconvenience for any reason.

Transportation in Maastricht

In Maastricht free public transport will be available to participants of SANE 2002 throughout the conference. Detailed information will be given to you at the registration desk in May.
