[BoF]

Birds-of-a-Feather (BoF) sessions are informal gatherings of attendees interested in a particular topic. BoFs enable attendees to discuss topics of mutual interest and to build professional relationships with other people who share similar interests. The highly interactive sessions will be held Thursday (November 19th) from 05:30 p.m. till 07:00 p.m.

If you want to schedule a BoF, please contact the BoF coordinator by e-mail at the address <sane98-bof@nluug.nl>

17:30 This slot (and possibly some other BoF's that might take place over a beer or two) will be assigned at the conference.

Please refer to the BoF Announcements board near the SANE'98 Organization booth. There will be blank forms availble, so if you have an idea for a BoF, fill in a form and put it up on the board.

Topic: PGP Key-Signing Party
Chair: Hans van de Looy
Location: Brussels/Paris (0.4/0.5)
Description:

No large international event which includes system and network security and privacy of information among its topics, can be complete without a PGP keysigning party. During this gathering participants who already have one or more PGP key-pair(s) can meet others and, by using a safe protocol, to sign their (public) keys so that the web of trust can grow a little wider.

So what is this all about? PGP, key-pairs, web of trust? What are you talking about? Read the full story...

18:15 Topic: Mail Transfer Agents (MTA's)
Chair: Brad Knowles and Wietse Venema
Location: Auditorium 2
Description:

Today's e-mail volumes are ever increasing and "proven technology" solutions are beginning to loose the battle. Both Brad, who used to be the sendmail-FAQ maintainer, and Wietse, who is currently writing a free sendmail replacement named VMailer, are very experienced with email delivery performance issues and e-mail related problems in general. So, the guru's are in!

They'll be happy to discuss virtually any e-mail related issues.

This conference BOF is used to present the NLnet's backgrounds, ideas, and to receive feedback from the technical computer community.
