[Social-Event]

After an intensive conference day, you need relaxation, laughing, talking and of course something to eat and drink. These are exactly the keywords of the party at the end of the first conference day, Thursday, November 19th...

A conference is not only important for what you learn from tutorials and presentations. Meeting collegues is at least as useful. The social event will be the way to meet your collegues in a informal setting. In this case, the setting is very inviting: the conference dinner and social event take place in `La Caverne de Geulhem' which is located in the small village Berg en Terblijt, a few miles outside Maastricht, in the middle of a beautiful valley around the river Geul.

`La Caverne de Geulhem' is an old marl mine (similar to the famous `St. Pietersberg' caves), that has been transformed into a place where all kinds of festivities take place. As much as possible, the original appearance has been preserved. But don't worry: it will not be cold: some 10.000 meters of central heating pipes make sure that the temperature is comfortable. Several hundreds of candles make sure we can see each other. Finally, a ventilation system makes sure we get all the fresh air we need.

Of course, there will ample to eat and drink. And when the party is over, the same busses that brought you to `La Caverne de Geulhem', will bring you back.
