Architecture overview of the Linuxconf system administration tool

In development since 1994, Linuxconf is a sophisticated admin tool for linux. It sports many interesting features such as multiple user interfaces (text,HTML,GUI,remote GUI), system profile versioning, multiple machine management, activation control, dynamically loaded modules, user privileges, extensible dialogs, etc...

The talk will cover the basic architecture components and the technical issues that had to be solved.

Jacques Gélinas has graduated from the engineering school of Montreal university in 1982. Since he has been involved in micro-controller design (hardware and software), programming language and compiler design and was involved for eight years in the design of a CAD package for the kitchen industry. Since 1995, he is a free-lance consultant, doing exclusively linux work. He own a farm where he hopes to grow linux computers...
